HOT CITY is presented as a pitch for the first one-hour television series about cops, lawyers and doctors, a truly revolutionary idea prompted by the Burglars’ desire to stop toiling in obscurity and make some real money. Despite its supposed purpose as a means of escape from theatre, HOT CITY occasionally utilizes much of the theatre magic the Burglars learned at overpriced art school – elements such as puppetry and the commedia dell arte’ character Truffaldino – that perhaps were hilarious to audiences five hundred years ago.

Backstage West – (Critic’s Pick) “The Burglars have the chops to pull off this intentionally bad idea with the right mix of deadpan and abandon”
